Thanks for showing how careful you have to be after the metal detector indicates something is in a log.

Don't know if you already tried this or not but if you could place a box infront of the cab to catch some of that "man glitter", you could place it in a jar and sell it off as a fun little joke gift. I bet someone could mix it in resin and make some blanks out of it for some turning thing as well.

Thanks for the terminology, Mark. You would be surprised at the number of people that do not know the terms used in sawmilling, well maybe not. I think I am still learning a few myself. I have tried to educate some young and older people about the length to cut their logs many times. That log with metal is a tree that I don't know anything about. We may not have them down south...What was it again please?

Four o’clock in the morning finding metal in saw logs isn’t good causes a lot of damage, I’ve an early start warming castings up to weld lugs back on luckily it’s cast steel so it’s the arc welder and not gas after welding it’ll be supper time before there cool enough to machine , so it’s another slow day anyway you guys have a nice day

It's called a King Cake. Whoever gets the baby has to buy or make the next one. My Mother used to ship them all over the Country. She's gone now. The best ones are filled with grape preserves and creme cheese. The box says King Cake for a reason. Great channel. No cussin' or preachin' and best of all no politics. Music is pretty good but keep the volume at a decent level. It's a sawmill, not a bar. lol I want to see y'all at 100,000 subs by the end of 2024. I'll be sharing.

I tried looking up the term Cant the first time you said it. I thought it had to be flat on 4 sides. Flat on one side makes sense. A cant can’t roll. 😂

Running a edger is work my dad's old edger which we still have, is simple the width gage is a series of hoes drilled in a PC of curved iron. Solid fence. 4" set blade and a 2nd slide blade... unknown manuf. But at least 80 years old.
